So...who am I?

My name is Linnéa Runsten Fredriksson and I’m a UX designer based in Stockholm. My interest in studying interaction design came from my fascination with psychology and love for technology After studying psychology courses at Södertörn and Stockholm University, I realized I wanted to combine the things I had learned about the human mind with a creative and varied field in IT.  And thus – my love for UX and UI was born!

Previous work experiences working as a care assistant made me realize the importance of usability in systems and everyday life, and that has made accessibility a subject that is close to my heart and something I would love to explore more in my worklife.

Involvement during studies 🎓

During my time as a student I’ve loved being a part of my student union, and I have been involved in a lot of different roles during my studies. In 2021 I was the PR manager of Insparken (the section that welcomes new students) as well as the president of the musical and aesthetical section. Being the PR manager made me responsible for all content that was posted on social media as well as making sure that communication reached all the hundreds of new students. Being president for the musical and aesthetical section helped me evolve as a leader and one of the things I really enjoyed as president was finding new creative solutions to tackle the way COVID-19 changed our way of operations in the section.

In 2022 I was the event manager and student section president. As event manager, my role was making sure that the bookings were structured correctly and planning the bigger events of the entire student union. Being the president of DISK KM was really rewarding, as I was able to grow even more in my leadership skills, and be the central person that made sure the sections operations worked and that communication was deployed to our hundreds of members.

Getting creative

In my personal time I enjoy using creative outlets to stimulate my need to create and explore. Doing things like photographing and editing photos, playing and creating music and collaborating with others is really important for me as a person. I have previously played in a band, and below you can listen to some of the songs we wrote and recorded.

Overall, I like learning new things and like to explore new projects
